This is inforced by policy and no other apps are allowed or will even work. I am on a corporate device, meaning my mails, contacts, reminders and calendar events are being synced from an Exchange server to the default iPhone apps. To me, the biggest limitation and what I need to know is if the watch will pull data from the iOS native apps, such as Mail and Calendar. However, I am led to believe I can get most if not all notifications and that some of these current limitations might be overcome via software updates further down the road. I know I won't be able to reply to messages I receive via Messenger, WhatsApp, native text messages, etc. Again, I know that this also means I will not be able to tell my watch to set up a new event, etc. I also know I won't be able to interface with Siri. I already know I won't be able to take calls on the watch.

Thing is, I have specific requirements that I need to see met in order to justify the purchase. I am considering buying this watch as a replacement to my Apple Watch Series 2.
